Armin van Buuren launches DJ sound system with Philips

This afternoon, at the IFA Berlin, Armin van Buuren announced a very special collaboration with Philips. They’ve launched the M1X-DJ System, allowing anyone who wants to mix, play and share their music one portable device. Armin van Buuren:”Together, we want to inspire more people to listen to, create and share the music they love.”

“Fans often ask me what equipment they should buy when they want to start mixing themselves,” said Armin. “A lot of kit can be expensive, so with the M1X I wanted to create something that’s accessible for everybody. The other great thing about the M1X is that you can play it wherever you want, whether that’s the beach, the park or your street: it’s the ghetto blaster reinvented for today.”

Live broadcast of A State of Trance radio show from Berlin

Tonight, from 20.00 – 22.00 (CET), Armin will do a special live broadcast from a secret location in Berlin. During his radio show, the Dutch DJ will make a special announcement regarding his upcoming ASOT650 tour and its official anthem. Everyone can tune in live via www.astateoftrance.com.

M1X-DJ System

The system is simple to use and provides an authentic DJ experience for beginners to professionals, depending on how you choose to use the features. With multiple inputs and outputs, aspiring artists can link up multiple M1X-DJs or bigger stereo systems for a more club-like sound. Bluetooth connectivity allows you to share your favorite music from Bluetooth-enabled devices. When the party moves outside or to a remote location that may not have accessible power, the M1X-DJ will play for five hours with D cell batteries.

The Philips M1X-DJ Sound System will be available in November 2013.

Armin van Buuren – A State Of Trance Episode 628

Armin van Buuren’s radio show ‘A State of Trance’ has been going strong for more than twelve years already. With an estimated amount of 20 million listeners, divided over 26 countries and over 40 radio-stations plus globally through satellite and internet radio-stations, ‘A State of Trance’ is one of the most popular and beloved weekly radio shows around. Armin won the award ‘Best Mix Radio Show’ at the Winter Music Conference in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012. ASOT birthdays
The birthdays of the A State of Trance show are always celebrated in style. A State of Trance 600 involved a 10 week world tour with 12 shows in 11 different countries. Drawing a total of more than 200,000 visitors and millions of online listeners to ‘The Expedition’ world tour, including sold out shows in Madrid, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Minsk, Sofia, Beirut, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Miami, Guatemala, New York and finally Den Bosch, the world’s number one DJ looks back upon the biggest world tour he’s ever done. Armin van Buuren ended his successful A State of Trance 600 world tour with the grand finale in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. Nearly 30,000 visitors from 80 different countries travelled to the Brabanthallen for the final event of the tour, witnessing the biggest trance event in Europe.

Every year, at the end of December, the listeners are able to vote for their absolute favourites of the show, that might end up in the ‘A State of Trance Top 20′. A week after, in the last episode of the year, Armin blends the best tunes of that year into a 2 hours Yearmix, that will also appear on a 2-disc album.

For those that can't get enough of the show, Armin has launched an official, weekly ‘A State of Trance’ podcast, which is available on iTunes and contains the highlights of the show.
