Paracontrol – Exiles In India

Liquid Frequency presents Exiles In India, the first release by Paracontrol (Ritesh Jain), a psychedelic trooper from Kolkata who has been writing music since 2003. His production style is raw even a decade later owing to his influences and equipment; Ritesh produces on a Sony hi-fi cassette/CD stereo player and is inspired by niche acts from the early 2000s like Parasense, X-Dream, and Dark Soho. The sound showcased here is filled with a relentless drive, peculiar effects, and plucky notes that jump between dissonance and familiarity. The result is six dance floor tunes written to dig deep into your mind. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity, this is powerful stuff! Mastered by Mark Black, U.K., with artwork by Yidam.
